About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic network. This role involves providing care for adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older. You will work as an independent contractor with the flexibility to set your own hours. The position offers a mix of on-site and remote work, with the option to work 50% via telemedicine.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, provide diagnoses, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
- Offer various psychotherapy and counseling services to patients.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided.
- Keep up with current developments in the field of psychotherapy.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or proof that you are in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Port Charlotte, Florida.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Work modality: On-site and remote options available.
- Schedule: Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth visits, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
