About the role#
As a TEAM Intern at Bellefaire JCB, you will provide psychotherapy, assessment consultation, and prevention services to clients and their families. You will work as part of a treatment team to deliver services in schools and in-home settings. This is a paid internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform individual and group counseling.
- Provide school and family education along with individual skill trainings.
- Conduct clinical assessments and create goal-oriented treatment plans.
- Perform crisis intervention and provide alcohol and drug prevention services.
- Act as a liaison and advocate with schools, the justice system, social services, and health services.
- Maintain client records and submit goal attainment scales.
- Provide transportation for clients as needed.
- Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, and training.
What you'll need#
- You must be a Master’s student in Social Work or Counseling.
- SWT or CT licensure is required.
- A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets agency insurance criteria.
- Clinical skills in therapy, crisis intervention, behavioral interventions, and substance abuse therapy.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families is preferred.
- Ability to work with initiative and independent judgment.
- Cultural competency and the ability to work with diverse individuals.
- Strong interpersonal communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Adherence to professional and ethical conduct standards.
