About the role#
As a Retail Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to support pharmacy operations. You will gain hands-on experience in a retail setting while ensuring customers receive prompt and efficient service. This role requires a commitment to accuracy, regulatory compliance, and professional communication.
What you'll do#
- Process and fill prescriptions in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Prepare prescription containers and affix accurate labels.
- Assist with inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and checking invoices.
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and organization.
- Follow all security, quality assurance, and regulatory procedures.
- Support the pharmacy team to ensure efficient daily operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Current registration with the State Pharmacy Board as an intern.
- Ability to solve logical or scientific problems using abstract and concrete variables.
- Proficiency in arithmetic and algebraic calculations.
- Ability to physically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
