About the role#
This internship provides pharmacy students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting. Interns will focus on patient care, counseling, and clinical services while working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This is a paid, full-time position with sponsorship availability.
What you'll do#
- Perform all duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor.
- Complete all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Offer consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding prescription knowledge, drug therapy, and health-related products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, point of care testing, and disease state management.
- Implement company initiatives to support pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities based on business needs.
- Ability to cooperate with others and work effectively as part of a team.
