About the role#
This Pharmacy Student Intern position offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor to support patient care and pharmacy operations. This role is open to students pursuing degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health.
What you'll do#
- Perform all professional duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor.
- Manage the prescription filling process in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide consultation and advice to customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health-related products.
- Actively participate in clinical services, including patient counseling, immunizations, and disease state management.
- Implement company initiatives aimed at increasing pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities based on business and customer needs.
