About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for nursing graduates awaiting licensure. You will work on-site in an Ortho/Neuro unit, providing technical assistance and patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. This role is designed to help you build clinical leadership skills while you prepare for your professional career.
What you'll do#
- Assess patients and contribute to their plans of care.
- Help implement and evaluate care plans as directed by nursing staff.
- Provide direct patient care and general assistance to the nursing team.
- Communicate with staff, patients, and guests.
- Participate in educational activities and projects to improve health care delivery.
- Work toward completing assigned goals and building your clinical knowledge.
What you'll need#
- You must be a graduate of a registered nursing program and currently awaiting licensure.
- You should be comfortable using a computer.
- You must obtain BLS certification within 14 days of your hire date.
- Please note that the Nurse Intern II category is limited to a maximum of 90 days following your graduation date.
