About the role#
Albertsons Companies is hiring a Pharmacy Student Intern for our location in Goodyear, Arizona. This is a paid, part-time position that operates on a rolling basis. We offer sponsorship for eligible candidates.
What you'll do#
As an intern, you will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor. You will handle prescription filling in compliance with all laws and company policies. Your daily work includes:
- Providing advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy and health products.
- Focusing on patient counseling, immunization, vaccinations, MTM, point of care testing, and disease state management.
- Actively participating in clinical services.
- Implementing company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by Arizona.
- The ability to work as part of a team and cooperate with others.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities.
