About the role#
This pharmacy student internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to support patient care and pharmacy operations. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Perform all duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Process prescription fills in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Consult with customers and healthcare professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, and disease state management.
- Support initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedules.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to cooperate with others.
