About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the guidance of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to support patient care and pharmacy operations. This role is designed for students who want to develop their clinical skills while supporting the needs of the local community.
What you'll do#
- Perform all pharmacy duties under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Process and fill prescriptions in accordance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including patient counseling, immunizations, and disease state management.
- Help implement company initiatives to support pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedules based on business needs.
