About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the guidance of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to provide patient care and support pharmacy operations. This role is open to students currently enrolled in a professional pharmacy program who want to build relationships with patients and contribute to their community.
What you'll do#
- Perform all tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Process prescriptions while following all laws, company policies, and regulations.
- Consult with customers and healthcare professionals regarding prescription knowledge and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, and disease state management.
- Carry out company initiatives to improve pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by Colorado law.
- The ability to work well with others as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in your schedule and work priorities.
