About the role#
We are looking for a Pharmacy Student Intern to join our team in Santa Fe. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on pharmacy practice skills under the guidance of licensed professionals. You will work in a pharmacy environment focused on patient care and community service.
What you'll do#
- Perform all duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor.
- Complete all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Offer advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding prescription knowledge, drug therapy, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including patient counseling, immunizations, and disease state management.
- Implement company initiatives to support pharmacy operations and profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by New Mexico regulations.
- The ability to work well as part of a team and cooperate with others.
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities as business needs demand.
