About the role#
Albertsons Companies is hiring a Pharmacy Student Intern to support our pharmacy teams in Chandler, Arizona. This is a part-time, paid position that offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. We provide sponsorship for eligible candidates.
What you'll do#
- Perform all duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor.
- Fill prescriptions while following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Advise customers and health care professionals on drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, MTM, point of care testing, and disease state management.
- Help implement company initiatives to improve pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by Arizona.
- The ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedules.
- A cooperative attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
