About the role#
Retail Pharmacy Interns gain hands-on experience in a pharmacy setting while working toward their pharmacy degree. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to support patient care and pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide prompt, friendly customer service.
- Fill and help process prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Prepare prescriptions and affix labels to containers.
- Report any medication errors to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with inventory control, including ordering, stocking, checking invoices, and entering data.
- Conduct monthly inventory and follow security and regulatory procedures.
- Assist in training pharmacy employees.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the pharmacy and dispensing area.
- Protect the confidentiality of customer medical information.
- Work with co-workers as a team and assist in other areas of the store as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Registration with the State Pharmacy Board as an intern.
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience is preferred.

- This position is located in Omaha, Nebraska.
- This is a part-time, on-site, paid role with a rolling term.
