About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the delivery of exceptional patient care. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while gaining professional experience in clinical and operational pharmacy practice.
What you'll do#
- Manage patient care programs to support customer health and wellness.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and professional pride.
- Assist with inventory management and pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, quality assurance standards, and safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or active progress toward obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required by state guidelines.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within established state timeframes.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
