About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will assist in patient care, inventory management, and workflow tasks to ensure a safe and effective environment. This role focuses on delivering quality care and helping patients manage their health needs.
What you'll do#
- Manage and adopt patient care programs to support customer health.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Collaborate with your pharmacy team to improve patient outcomes.
- Foster a positive work culture that emphasizes pride and care.
- Maintain a safe and efficient pharmacy workspace.
- Complete required training and strive to provide immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain a regular schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
