About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will assist in maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while focusing on patient care. This position is designed for students to gain professional experience while supporting our pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
- Deliver care to patients and assist with the management of patient care programs.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Perform tasks related to patient safety, inventory management, and workflow.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
