About the role#
As a Pharmacy Grad Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to gain practical experience in patient care and pharmacy operations. This role focuses on helping the pharmacy team meet patient needs while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with prescription preparation and inventory management.
- Take prescriptions over the phone from prescribers.
- Provide customer service during prescription intake and telephone communication.
- Counsel patients and handle confidential information.
- Make immunization recommendations based on state law and current ACIP schedules.
- Assist with immunization counseling, documentation, and paperwork.
- Complete Medication Therapy Management interventions, including patient outreach and billing.
- Administer immunizations to adults if you have completed the required certification and meet state requirements.
- Participate in corporate programs and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Completion of the first professional year of pharmacy study.
- A state licensed pharmacy intern permit where applicable.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to exercise good judgment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and the pharmacy team.
- Knowledge of state pharmacy laws and common insurance billing procedures.
- A friendly and helpful attitude with a focus on customer service.
- One year of previous experience in a community pharmacy is preferred.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy teammate for at least six months is preferred.

- Compensation: $27.50 per hour.
