About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern at Albertsons Companies, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to develop your clinical skills and provide patient care. This role focuses on building relationships with patients and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform pharmacy duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor.
- Manage the prescription filling process in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide consultations to customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, and disease state management.
- Implement company initiatives to support pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedule specifications.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to cooperate with colleagues.
