About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Pharmacy Grad Intern position based in Gt. Barrington, Massachusetts. You will work on-site under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to gain practical experience in patient care and pharmacy operations. This role operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Help the pharmacist prepare prescriptions with accuracy.
- Manage pharmacy inventory.
- Counsel patients and take prescription orders over the phone from prescribers.
- Complete Medication Therapy Management interventions, including patient outreach and billing.
- Administer immunizations to adults when supervised by a licensed pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- Completion of the first professional year of pharmacy study.
- A state-issued pharmacy intern permit where required.
- Knowledge of state pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with common insurance plans and billing procedures.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
