About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice while preparing for a Pharmacist role. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role focuses on deepening your understanding of patient safety, quality assurance, and pharmacy operations. You will assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
What you'll do#
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during interactions.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Support the management and oversight of pharmacy operations as your readiness increases.
- Offer to counsel patients and field medical questions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Complete basic inventory activities, including cycle counts and returns.
- Deliver patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing where permitted by law.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems in patient interactions.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical reasoning for prescription dispensing.

- Location: Mendham, New Jersey.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time and part-time availability required, including nights and weekends.
