Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role#

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic training to real-world pharmacy practice. Under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to deepen your understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, and clinical standards. This role serves as a bridge to a professional Pharmacist position, focusing on continuous improvement and patient-centered care.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are fulfilled safely and accurately.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy, addressing patient needs, and providing caring service.
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members to share best practices.
• Support immunizations by completing required training and licensure to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
• Perform clinical tasks such as fielding medical questions, taking telephonic prescriptions, and clarifying medication changes under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company standard operating procedures.

What you'll need#

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the training program.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain mobile for extended periods, reach, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform repetitive finger movements for typing and handling small items.
