About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by immersing you in daily pharmacy functions.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure that pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care during all customer interactions.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by helping patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
- Complete basic inventory activities as directed by the pharmacy leadership team, including putting away deliveries and performing cycle counts.
- Maintain focus and flexibility to pivot between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus, with the ability to concentrate on tasks over time.
- A customer-service mindset, actively seeking ways to help others in a friendly manner.
