About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic learning into real-world practice. This role is designed to prepare you for a future Pharmacist position. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This program focuses on store, district, and regional operations, while deepening your understanding of patient safety, quality assurance, and professional standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately and promptly.
- Follow company procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Engage with patients by showing empathy, resolving problems, and offering health services like immunizations.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers to clarify orders.
- Complete inventory activities such as cycle counts and medication deliveries.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching to pharmacy team members.
- Maintain flexibility to work shifts at your home store and other locations within the market.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the program.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state guidelines.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring close visual acuity.
- Capability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to prescription dispensing.
