About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of a pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while focusing on patient care and service. This is a part-time, paid position based on-site in Reno, Nevada.
What you'll do#
- Manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with your team to grow and deliver better health outcomes.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring and enthusiasm.
- Perform tasks related to patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, inventory management, and workflow management.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, stooping, and maintaining upright positions for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.

- Compensation: The pay range for this role is $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
