About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will bridge the gap between your pharmacy school education and real-world clinical practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This program focuses on store, district, and regional operations to prepare you for a future Pharmacist role.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices to maintain high levels of quality and safety.
- Support immunization services by educating patients, answering questions, and obtaining informed consent.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by showing empathy and providing personalized care during interactions.
- Complete a structured training roadmap to deepen your knowledge of patient safety, drug utilization review, and pharmacy professional standards.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the training program.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including availability for nights and weekends.
