Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role#

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic training into real-world pharmacy practice. This role is designed to prepare you for a future Pharmacist position through a comprehensive training roadmap. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to deepen your understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, quality assurance, and professional standards. You will be expected to work on-site, with flexibility required for scheduling and potential travel to other locations within the market.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Demonstrate empathy and genuine care while contributing to a safe, inclusive culture.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all pharmacy workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Support patient health by offering immunizations, point-of-care testing, and other services where permitted by law.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to team members and assist with inventory management activities.
• Communicate effectively with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and facilitate medication changes as allowed by regulation.

What you'll need#

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations and strong attention to detail.
• Physical ability to remain mobile for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
