About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while preparing you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment at workstations like production, pick-up, and drop-off.
- Provide caring service and contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy.
- Support immunizations by educating patients on their importance and assisting with administration where permitted by law.
- Complete Key Learning Experiences and activities to build clinical and technical aptitude.
- Maintain inventory, including cycle counts and putting away medication deliveries.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
- Capability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
- Commitment to regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

- Employment Type: Part-time.
- Compensation: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
