About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to gain hands-on experience in pharmacy operations while preparing for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. This role involves supporting pharmacy teams to ensure that prescriptions are filled safely and accurately while providing high-quality service to patients.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including key learning experiences and activities.
- Follow company SOPs at every workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care during all patient interactions.
- Deliver additional health care services, such as immunizations, where permitted by law and supported by training.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for patients and colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong focus and the ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
- Flexibility to work at your home store and travel to other locations within the market to meet business needs.
