About the role#
This is a part-time, paid Pharmacy Intern position. You will apply didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice under the direction of a preceptor. The role focuses on developing clinical and technical skills, gaining an overview of store and regional operations, and preparing for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences and activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations and prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures across all stations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, providing caring service, and solving patient problems.
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
- Maintain patient privacy and security while following company policies for controlled substance dispensing and recordkeeping.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including availability for nights and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail to confirm prescription information and label accuracy for patient safety.
