About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for a Nurse Intern II on the 5 West unit. You will work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee. This role is for graduates of a nursing program who are currently awaiting licensure.
What you'll do#
You will work under the direction of a registered nurse to support patient care. Your daily tasks include:
- Assessing patients and contributing to their care plans.
- Implementing and evaluating care plans.
- Assisting nursing staff with patient care and communication.
- Participating in activities to improve health care delivery.
- Building your knowledge of clinical leadership.
- Completing assigned goals and ongoing educational activities.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from a registered nursing program and currently awaiting licensure.
- Ability to stay in this job category for no longer than 90 days post-graduation.
- Computer literacy.
- BLS certification, which must be obtained within 14 days of your hire date.
