About the role#
As a foreign-trained pharmacist, you will complete your required US internship hours to build your professional knowledge and skills. This role is designed to prepare you for pharmacist licensure in the United States. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment while delivering quality patient care.
What you'll do#
- Complete required US internship hours within 18 months.
- Deliver exceptional care and counsel patients under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Process prescriptions, including translation of SIG codes, product selection, and labeling.
- Resolve third-party rejections and manage inventory levels.
- Support the pharmacy manager in motivating and developing support staff.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs while identifying business opportunities.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and pride.
- Greet customers, perform register transactions, and assist with questions.
- Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
- Participate in store operational meetings and immunize when state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- A degree from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Successful completion of the FPGEE and TOEFL exams.
- An active pharmacy intern license in the state where the district is located.
- Commitment to obtaining pharmacist licensure in the state of practice within 120 days of completing internship hours.
- Strong communication, presentation, and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to lift and exert up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently.
- Skills in emotional intelligence, time management, and conflict resolution.
