About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy workflows, and supporting the overall health of customers. You will play an active part in a team dedicated to improving access and quality of care.
What you'll do#
- Manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Support regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Maintain a safe and effective pharmacy work environment.
- Assist with inventory management and workflow processes, excluding final prescription verification.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of, or progress toward obtaining, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
