About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic knowledge to real-world practice in preparation for a future Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences, to gain an overview of pharmacy operations at the store, district, and regional levels. This role focuses on professional growth, continuous improvement, and supporting the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality patient care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy, genuine care, and effective communication.
- Support immunizations by educating patients about the importance of vaccines and assisting with documentation.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies regarding patient safety and privacy.
- Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and managing medication deliveries.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or in the process of obtaining, a valid intern or technician license.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Commitment to regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain mobile and stand for extended periods, with the capacity to lift up to 20 lbs.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship position with a pay range of $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
