About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic training to real-world practice while preparing for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap that includes Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) and hands-on activities. This role provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations within a pharmacy setting.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and genuine care during interactions.
- Support immunization services by educating patients about the importance of vaccines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Commitment to regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
