About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while focusing on patient care, regulatory requirements, and workflow management. This role involves direct interaction with patients and customers to support their health needs.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients as part of the pharmacy team.
- Keep customers and patients healthy through the adoption and management of patient care programs.
- Model company values and demonstrate empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Perform tasks including patient safety, quality assurance, and inventory management.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
