About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in patient care, ensuring that customers receive high-quality service while you gain professional experience in a clinical setting.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to patients as an active member of the pharmacy team.
- Manage patient care programs to help customers maintain their health.
- Model company values by demonstrating empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and collaboration.
- Assist with pharmacy operations including inventory management, workflow, and quality assurance.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations and eligibility requirements are met.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of, or the process of obtaining, a valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and maintaining regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
