About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to provide a firsthand look at pharmacy operations at the store, district, and regional levels. This role focuses on developing clinical and technical skills in preparation for a Pharmacist position.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences and activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, including accurate and safe prescription fulfillment.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures at each workstation.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and genuine care.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members while sharing best practices.
- Maintain high levels of self-awareness and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture.
- Perform inventory activities, such as cycle counts and returns-to-stock, as permitted by law.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or active progress toward obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods and pivot quickly between responsibilities.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations.
- Physical ability to remain mobile for extended periods, reach, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs.

- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, including nights and weekends.
- Pay range: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.
