Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering patient care, modeling company values, and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations, including patient safety, inventory management, and workflow management.

• Manage and adopt patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
• Demonstrate empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and team members.
• Collaborate with others to seek new ways to grow and deliver improved health outcomes.
• Facilitate a team culture characterized by energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Once state regulations are met, strive to provide patient immunizations.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing finger dexterity for precise tasks.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state, or currently in the process of obtaining it.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
• Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
