Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and supporting the pharmacy team. You will be expected to apply your clinical knowledge to drive healthy patient outcomes and contribute to the growth and performance of the pharmacy.

What you'll do#

• Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Support the Pharmacy Manager in motivating and developing pharmacy support staff.
• Identify business opportunities and implement solutions to improve pharmacy performance.
• Adapt to changes to thrive in a community healthcare setting.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Manage tasks related to patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and inventory management.

What you'll need#

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the training program.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining a valid pharmacist intern or technician licensure as required by the state Board of Pharmacy.
• Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and visual acuity.
