About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while delivering care to patients. This role focuses on patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and workflow management.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to each patient.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Lead with heart in all customer interactions.
- Manage patient care programs to keep customers healthy.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver better health outcomes.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
