About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This program provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while preparing you for a future role as a Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations and accurate, safe prescription fulfillment.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in all customer interactions.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy.
- Deliver additional patient health care services like immunizations, where allowable by law.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Capability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Proficiency in using math to solve problems, such as determining the total number of tablets to dispense.
