Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role#

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice to prepare for a Pharmacist role. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, deepening your understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, and professional standards under the direction of your preceptor and district leadership.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during interactions.
• Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and contact them to clarify prescriptions or facilitate medication changes.
• Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away deliveries and performing cycle counts, as directed by pharmacy leadership.
• Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards.

What you'll need#

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe per state guidelines.
