About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world pharmacy practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist while you support the pharmacy team in providing safe and accurate patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Follow company SOPs at each workstation to help manage and improve patient health.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Support immunizations, which includes obtaining Technician Immunizer status.
What you'll need#
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time.
- Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
