About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice to prepare for a future role as a Pharmacist. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), to gain an overview of store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering patient care.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy operations and prescription fulfillment by following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist the pharmacy team with workflow procedures at workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Provide caring service to patients, including fielding questions and demonstrating empathy during interactions.
- Assist with immunizations and patient care services, including educating patients and documenting information, where permitted by law and supported by training.
- Complete inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and putting away medication deliveries.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern and/or technician licensure.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention to detail, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service is preferred.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with a pay range of $21.25 - $25.00.
