About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist while supporting the daily needs of the pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Provide caring service and contribute to positive patient experiences.
- Educate patients about vaccines and refer vaccination-related questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus, with the ability to concentrate on tasks over time.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
