About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and supporting the pharmacy team in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, caregivers, and customers.
- Lead with empathy and compassion while facilitating a team culture of energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Manage pharmacy workflow and inventory effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver positive health outcomes and support patient care programs.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, scanning, bagging items, and remaining mobile for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of, or in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and specified timeframes.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
