About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment. You will support patient care programs and contribute to the daily operations of the pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and assist with patient safety and quality assurance.
- Manage pharmacy workflow and inventory.
- Provide customer service to patients and caregivers.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring and enthusiasm.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and reaching to move items.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
