Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team to support patient health and safety. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will contribute to retail pharmacy operations, including patient care programs, workflow management, and quality assurance. This role is designed for students to gain professional experience while supporting the delivery of quality health care.

• Maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment.
• Support patient health through the adoption and management of patient care programs.

• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, scanning, and bagging items, as well as reaching and stooping to move inventory.
• Communicate instructions clearly to customers and colleagues.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Possession of, or active progress toward, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state-mandated timeframes.
• Ability to maintain a regular schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
