About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help deliver care to patients while maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and workflow management.
What you'll do#
- Manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Lead with heart by displaying empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Align others around the company purpose to gain support and commitment.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred, as is immunization eligibility.
