Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care and support pharmacy operations. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while gaining professional experience in patient safety, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.

• Manage patient care programs to help customers and patients maintain their health.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Lead with heart by aligning others around the company purpose and collaborating to deliver better outcomes.
• Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing finger dexterity for precise tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by state guidelines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state-mandated timeframes.
• Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
