About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning to real-world practice while preparing for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences, to gain an overview of pharmacy, store, district, and regional operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures at every workstation.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in all customer interactions, including solving or escalating patient problems.
- Participate in pharmacy workflow procedures, such as production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Maintain focus and pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive team culture by embracing feedback and sharing best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus, with the ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
