About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe retail pharmacy environment. You are part of a team focused on patient care, managing professional practice, and delivering service to customers. This position offers an opportunity to gain professional experience while contributing to pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Deliver the values of the pharmacy team while ensuring patient safety.
- Manage pharmacy professional practice and conduct quality assurance tasks.
- Provide customer service to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Support inventory and workflow management.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
