About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to gain hands-on experience in pharmacy operations. This role focuses on preparing you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while supporting our pharmacy teams in delivering safe and accurate patient care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs).
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain self-awareness and provide coaching to pharmacy team members.
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws regarding pharmacy operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Capacity to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
